Biography
My current research focusses on the role of Respiratory viruses as a cause of severe illness in young infants and children. We employ a range of systems approaches – transcriptomics, metagenomics, proteomics and mimotope array serology to identify mechanisms of severe respiratory illnesses caused by viruses (particularly RSV) as well as bacteria in African children.
