Biography
I am a postdoc in Jeremy Brown's lab since January 2017. Our interests focus on Streptococcus pneumoniae pathogenesis and mechanisms of immunity, as well as assessing new potential vaccine candidates.
The main aim of my current research project is the prevention of S. pneumoniae lung infections in adults by generating pneumococcal strains that have been permanently attenuated in virulence by genetic modification but preserve mucosal immunogenicity. To test them we will use the Experimental Human Pneumococcal Carriage Model at LSTM.
