Biography
More than 20 years of experience in vaccine development within public health and pharmaceutical environment. Myra was trained as Molecular Scientist at the Agricultural University Wageningen. After receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Utrecht, NL, she started as postdoc at the DLO- Institute for Animal Science and Health, Lelystad. NL, on the development of a classical swine fever virus vaccine. Previously, she worked at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), NL , on the development of a RSV vaccine candidate and was responsible for the completion of the feasibility study as project leader. Joined in 2011 Janssen Vaccines and Prevention B.V., Leiden, NL, as project leader and was responsible for several novel molecular entities for the RSV vaccine program. As co-team leader, responsible for initiating the Phase 1 studies of the adenovirus based RSV vaccine program. My current role is Scientific Affairs Leader Respiratory Infections, to develop and maintain long term relationships with key opinion leaders, establish relationships with governmental agencies and (academic) organizations
