The HIC-Vac Annual Meeting 2023 is taking place on 1st - 3rd November (Wednesday - Friday) at the beautiful De Vere Horsley Estate, UK.
This year's theme is 'Strengths and Limitations of Human Challenge Studies in Vaccine Development'.
The annual meeting is an excellent opportunity to network with other HIC-Vac members and to share knowledge on human infection models to further research into infectious diseases, and to hear about the exciting projects our members are working on.
We have already confirmed three excellent keynote speakers for this year's event:
Professor Gagandeep (Cherry) Kang: Enteric infectious diseases in impoverished communities
Professor Keith Klugman: New developments in vaccines to prevent infant deaths
Professor Frederick G Hayden: Lessons learned from use of challenge models for development of Respiratory virus infection interventions Lessons learned from use of challenge models for development of Respiratory virus infection interventions
We look forward to sharing the full meeting programme with you in due course.
Like last year, this year’s event will be a hybrid one to enable as many of our members to join as possible.
We are at full capacity for in-person attendance. However, if you would like to get on the waiting list, please e-mail Maija Maskuniitty (aino-maija.maskuniitty08@imperial.ac.uk).
All HIC-Vac members are invited to join the meeting virtually at no cost (Meeting link will be shared in due course).
