Ayodele is determined to contribute positively to public health improvement on a global scale. He continues to pursue his interest in the application of clinical research to improve medical care, particularly in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases; and in the use of clinical trials to improve clinical practice, including experience with controlled human infection models. Ayodele's research enables him to take up an active role in the fight against the so-called infectious diseases of poverty such as soil transmitted helminth infections and malaria.
