Biography
My research concerns the discovery of novel antigenic targets of protective immune responses against infectious diseases and of biomarkers for infection, exposure and disease status. The motivation behind this work is addressing practical issues of public health, such as vaccine development, serological surveillance/monitoring tools and point-of-care diagnostics. My approach, and the core platform technology of Antigen Discovery, Inc. (ADI), is the use of genome-wide methods in protein expression for immunoprofiling, particularly proteome-scale pathogen protein microarrays. Additionally, we use our expansive clone libraries and protein production for high throughput screening of cellular samples for CD4 and CD8 T cell specificity.
