I received my B.Sc. in biological science with honours, specializing in ‘Molecular and Cellular Biology’ at the University of Exeter (UK). I graduated in July 2022, and I am currently working at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical’s Gene Therapy group as a research associate II. I am now starting my PhD in Dr. Daniel Humphreys studying Salmonella Typhi. This position starts October 2024 at the University of Sheffield and will finish in 2028. I am especially interested in the recent development of genome engineering and learning more about CRISPR/Cas and how this technology is being used to develop treatments for previously untreatable diseases by the development of innovative therapeutics.
