Biography
I hold a PhD in respiratory infection, immunology and vaccinology obtained at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2022 under the supervision of Professor Daniela Ferreira. Using an Experimental Human Pneumococcal Colonisation model, in which participants are intranasally challenged with S. pneumonia, my PhD identified novel pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine candidates. I am now studying Graduate Entry Medicine at St George's, University of London, in order to move into clinical medicine. With my move into clinical medicine, I aim to maintain a research focus on vaccine development, particularly for preventable diseases disproportionately affecting populations in resource-poor settings. I hold a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Biological and Medical Sciences from the University of Liverpool and an MRes from Lancaster University in Global Health.
