Biography
My research is on parasite immunology and vaccine development for schistosomiasis. I am looking at antigens highly expressed by the vulnerable skin-stage larvae of S. mansoni as vaccine candidates and testing these in vitro using peripheral blood cells from schistosomiasis infected individuals in Uganda.
My main research interests are infection and immunity, neglected tropical diseases, vaccine development and controlled human infection models of helminths (schistosomiasis and hookworms).
