Biography

Claire studied English and Classics at Exeter University then completed an MSc in Health Systems Management with LSHTM. Following two years at UCL supporting maternal and perinatal health projects in Nepal, Malawi and Bangladesh, Claire began working at Imperial College London in 2003, initially setting up the International HIV Clinical Trials Management Office. She has supported research groups from Europe and Africa in the set-up and management of various multi-centre clinical studies and phase III trials of HIV prevention technologies and treatments. She is jointly appointed as HIC-Vac Network Manager and Research Manager for the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Respiratory Infections. Claire is interested in the organisational, financial and administrative aspects of delivering international health research programmes.
