Biography
Kenneth Akwue is a medical officer who has cared for several health seekers in different departments including infectious diseases (TB/HIV management), maternal and child health (MCH), and surgery. In these roles, he was also part of a team of health administrators and involved in healthcare project management at hospital level.
He is a Master’s student in Vaccinology at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. His current research focus on the use of a host biomarker to improve the diagnosis of TB in HIV positive patients, and possible application of this biomarker in the clinical development of TB candidate vaccines.
