Biography

As a Clinical Science Director at hVIVO, Brandon has a particular interest in human challenge models and has supported the development of new models at hVIVO over the past 7 years. He currently designs, leads, and analyses challenge studies using RSV, Influenza virus, SARS-CoV-2 and HRV in healthy subjects. These studies have included vaccines, monoclonals, immunomodulators, and antivirals. He has previously led the assay development for volunteer recruitment and defining clinical endpoints in human challenge studies.

With a PhD in the study of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 virus infections in avian and mammals, Brandon also has a keen interest in animal challenge models.

Brandon has developed several collaborations with Academia and UK and European Government Agencies in the past, including with Prof Laurence Tiley (University of Cambridge), Prof Helen Sang and Prof Lonneke Vervelde (The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh) & Dr John McCauley (National Inst for Medical Research, Francis Crick Institute).
