Biography
I am a Clinical Research Fellow with the Malaria Vaccine Programme at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford. My role involves contributing to the design and delivery of clinical trials as well as providing medical oversight of trial participants. Our studies assess blood-stage malaria vaccine candidates and often involve controlled human malaria infection (CHMI) challenges.
We are working to develop a sporozoite CHMI challenge model for Plasmodium vivax malaria as part of the OPTIVIVAX consortium. We are also exploring the immune changes that occur in recurrent Plasmodium falciparum infections.
