Biography
Dr Tarsuzio has an MSc in Biomedical Sciences from University of Bradford (UK) with Microbiology as a specialty and a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand (RSA). He currently holds a position of Microbiology Lead Scientist under the Malawi Accelerated Research in Vaccines by
Experimental and Laboratory Systems (MARVELS project) at Malawi-Liverpool Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Programme.
His research interests include the use of different serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae and other bacteria in controlled human infection models in healthy adults and other higher risk groups in LMICs. He is also interested in the manufacturing of GMP-like bacterial agents for use in CHIM.
