Biography
Wellcome made Vaccines a priority area at the start of 2017. One of the key aspects of our strategy focuses on the expansion of Controlled Human Infection Models to accelerate vaccine development and ensure that vaccines are relevant to the people most at risk. To enable this, Wellcome will support targeted community and political engagement, ethics research, regulatory strengthening, and capacity building. We will also promote harmonization, protocol, data and sample sharing wherever possible in accordance with our commitment to Open Research.
